Not too crazy about the grille. The interior is beautiful. The rims are saweet! The ones on the silver truck not the chrome ones.

Ehh, the 2000-2006 Tundra is the best looking one. The current run is just too big. I think they should have kept the old Tundra and produced a full scale 3/4 ton/1 ton lineup to compete with Ford.
 
About time the dash was upgraded last gens looked cheap. Truck looks edgy sure it will look sick modded out
 
Interior is far beyond what they have been. The grille i think is hideous. I dont like the tailgate either, they probably got tired of people debadging. Looks good. If they put that interior in previous ones. I would have bought one.
 
The current Tundras are huge, but I like them. They Re so roomy and comfortable.....nd they look awesome with a lift! And as solid as the 4.7 is, the 5.7 spanks it.
 

Very pretty truck! Doubt if I'll be in line to buy one, though; as my paid-off 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is probably going to be with me until it falls apart (which does not seem to be anytime soon, hopefully).

Ford updated the F-Series recently, Dodge re-did the Ram for 2013, GM is re-designing the Silverado/Sierra trucks for 2014 and a new Nissan Titan is due soon. If you have the cashola, it is truly a good time to be in the market for a new truck!

The iForce 5.7 is truly a powerhouse, but those things eat a lot of gas. My 5.3L Silverado is pretty bad at the pump, but a co-worker has an '07 Tundra that does even worse. Then again, if fuel economy is your priority, buy a Civic, Sentra or Prius. LOL!

P.S. I wonder why Toyota doesn't offer a 3/4 ton ("2500" Series) version of the Tundra, perhaps with Hino or Caterpillar turbodiesel engine option. That would make the Big Three quake in their boots.

I agree! I do like the looks of this new tundra. Unfortunately at this point in time all I would buy it for is looks. I have no need for a full size yet and gas mileage does make a difference.

I was one of the first guys to buy a current gen tundra in 06. I lease my trucks for work so I'm now on my third Tundra. Everyone has an opinion, but I can say that it is as good or better than any american truck I have ever owned. I love the room, power, and overall fit and finish. Everyone of my friends who talked crap about my jap truck at first either got himself one or lusts for one now that they have ridden or driven in mine. I actually heard my die hard FORD fan biz partner tell someone that my truck was much nicer and way faster than his F150 platnium, he would never tell me that but hes right(plus he spent almost 20k more than me.) I agree the interior is due to be redone and honestly the exterior as well but I only say that because I have been driving identical trucks for 6 years and will be 9 yrs at end of this lease and it would be nice to have some changes. The Tundra still looks great compared to more recently redesigned trucks. Yeah the fuel economy sucks but I didn't buy it for that . I like to haul large and I like to step on the go pedal and always end up out in front (I average 11 MPG with ladder rack, job box and tools) I don't think I'll ever get a different truck, I love my Tundra and since I lease its always a fresh 5.7 for me to flog ! My next truck will be 2015-16 Tundra doublecab longbed 4x4 with a 5.7 in superwhite
 
Not digging the new look on the front. But everything else is great! Would buy one if I needed it for sure!

Your "Japanese" Toyota Tundra was likely built here in the USA. A lot of the Dodge Ram trucks were made in Mexico and even my Chevy Silverado hails from Canada.

It is not where a vehicle is assembled that matters, but rather how well it is built.

I know, my Tindra was built in Texas, his f150 in Mexico. That blew his mind. The 380 hp blew his mind too. His F150 has a measly 280 hp. Shit my v6 4runner makes almost that much HP. Basically eveyone who doubted the tundra was proven wrong, and now another one of my friends is considering buying my lease trade in. Even though he was n my truck when I was bouncing it off the speed gov he wants it. Tundras are bad ass. I do wish it could carry more , the engine is really powerfull but the suspension is made more for comfort than hauling. Today with 3 200 lb. men, 1000 lbs of tools and parts I could see a considerable rear end sag and felt like sme of the whoops in the high way made me hit the bump stops. I dont care though I d rather beat the hell out of my Toyota than drive a crappy chevy or ford. I will say this, the F150 can take alot of abuse, my partner thinks the gas pedal is a on / off switch. Always flooring it, no issues so far. I tell him he needs to floor it because he has no power. I passed him at 100 mph the other day like he was standing still right after the highway on ramp. My Tundra is stupid fast, and its a huge 4 dr long bed at that.

The Tundra is sick fast; that is for sure. I test-drove a 2007 with the iForce 5.7L V8 when it first came out. It is faster than many so-called performance cars.

My 2004 Silverado is no slouch - with a 5.3L V8 that puts out about 300hp; but I know better than to mess with a newer Tundra. I bought mine used, of course, but it is what it is and I paid a lot less than I would have for a Tundra of the same vintage. I wonder how the upcoming 2014 Silverado (also a complete redesign) will fare against the Toyota.

Perhaps one of the car magazines will do a side-by-side comparison between the F-Series, Tundra, Ram, Silverado/Sierra and Titan. Those are always fun to read.

I really like it, not that Ill ever be able to justify buying one unless I change my career path or win the lottery but I think they did a great job updating the design, minus the minor interior bits that resemble those of a Ford that is
