I've had the driver's side , and passenger side Door Locks ( actuators?) replaced. Now my driver's side is failing the 2nd time.
Failure to lock/unlock with the key fob is the symptom. Manual locking /unlocking with the key works fine.
Fortunately, I have a 96 month Toyota extended warranty so it's just an inconvenience. FWIW, the dealership charges about $410 for parts and labor for this little aggravation (per incident). Lol, my extended warranted may pay for itself just over this !
Curious whether other people are experiencing this issue? So far the back doors and tailgate lock actuators are fine.
I had a 2002 Sequoia which was mechanically reliable for 200K miles, but it was plagued with door handle and tailgate handle failures . Seems Toyota has some body hardware issues.
