Just found and repaired an intermittent vibration/shimmy on my 2015 5th gen, 86K miles.
I've never been fully pleased with the brakes- there was always a small vibration under braking.
Recently the steering wheel vibrated intermittently above 45 mph. But then later it would go away and be fine for a while.
I read quite a few threads about others having this issue with lots of wheel balancing, bad tires, and alignments involved.
It turned out to be a tight brake caliper that was dragging and heating up the disc to warpage, then...shimmy real bad. That's why it was ok at low speed and not showing at all sometimes.
I did a 100% full front brake system replacement. Didn't make sense to do one side only at 86K miles. The front left brake caliper was almost locked up solid.
Smooth now, and better fuel usage. I was wondering why it had kept using more fuel.
