Hhmmm...if anything, you would think it would be the other way around. Heck, we don't even get the TRD Pro up here!

I'll check my receipt when I get home. Maybe there's a part number I could give you that might help. From the looks of it, from Toyota.ca, they show the exact cargo mat I purchased.
 
As a long time WeatherTech user...I converted over to Husky for my '16 TEP. Thanks to Burnurass' pitures, I decided to give Husky a try. The coverage looks the same between the WT and Husky, but the Husky have taller ridges for water and crap to sit in as it comes off your boots. I liked the WT's, but they were so flat, there was no place for water and crud to go. I hope I like the Husky's.

I don't know if this helps but the part number for the cargo liner for those with 3rd row seats is PU550-89147-01.
 
From the pics, it looks as though the Husky are smoother and shinier in finish. Is this correct? I prefer a more dull matte finish.
 
I went with the Weathertech for the same price as the Husky off amazon. $158, free shipping. Too bad my truck is coming with the all weather mats and the cargo slider that I didn't want or need. Oh well.
 
I recently got the Husky liners and I'm not that happy with them.

Both the front driver and passenger mats are lumpy, for lack of a better word... the bottom is not flat but is wavy. Neither one fits particularly well, and on the driver's side the part that covers the "dead pedal" is particularly poor fitting and squeaks whenever I put any weight on it. On the passenger side I can't get one of the snaps to fasten, even though it does not appear defective.

They seem to be doing a decent job at keeping snow/slush/salt contained so I guess I will live with them, but I'll be putting back the factory all-weather mats at the end of spring mud season.

Well like an idiot I threw out the box before installing them so I can't really return them to Amazon. Maybe I will contact Husky directly, but I don't think they're defective, just crappy. Also right now we're mid-winter and I don't want to be without something.

I guess I don't *hate* them. They're doing their job and that's really the most important thing. I am just disappointed.
 
I have the Husky in my 16 Tacoma and they are awesome. Im usually a WT guy but they werent out when I bought mine. I love them! Glad I read this as we are going to buy a 16 4runner this weekend.
 
My WTs came in the mail yesterday. Look decent, if not a tad stiffer than the WTs in my WRX. Still don't have the truck yet, lol. Oh well, at least I'm ready.
 
I've got the Husky floor mats and so far I like them. I haven't had any of the problems that [MENTION=135349]vjack[/MENTION] had except the same issue with one fastener on the passenger side refusing to lock. I do wish they were a bit thicker and more rubberized, but at least the fit really well.
 
Did anyone find mats for 3rd row? I tried to search, but looks like 3D is the only one who make it, but amazon says it won't fit my 2016 SR5.

If anyone can let me know the brand and pictures on their car would be much appreciated. Thanks.

That is the only one I have seen posted/found. In the product questions people have asked the same thing and they all say it fits the 2015 model, which means it should fit the 2016 as well since nothing has changed. Haven't gotten one yet but it's on my Amazon list to buy and try out.

A few follow-up questions for you guys in relation to a 2016 Trail I have on the way:

  1. Does the passenger side in current 4Runners now have 2 locking tabs like the driver's side? From reading this and other floor mat threads, it looks like old 5th gens didn't have locking tabs on the passenger side.
  2. Are these tabs twist-to-lock?
  3. Do both Husky and Weathertech mats have appropriate locking tab holes for both driver's and passenger's sides? Old threads on this subject complained about the Weathertech liners moving around on the passenger side, but if they now secure to locking tabs, I guess it's not an issue anymore?
  4. I read in another thread that Weathertechs were slippier than Huskys at one point when wet, but the newer Weathertechs are grippier and more-textured than before. Can anyone with the newer ones confirm if they're still slippy when wet?
  5. Does the OEM cargo mat provide the same coverage as the Husky cargo mat? I don't like the Weathertech cargo mat and how it's rectangular, lacking the wings that provide extra coverage at the sides behind the wheel wells, but I also don't like the enormous lip at the back of the Husky liner. I'd like the coverage of the Husky liner with the flatter rear like the Weathertech.
  6. Does either brand have problems with the 2nd-row mat sliding around?

Much appreciated for any help you can provide. I got my 4Runner without any factory mats, so I hope to have this worked out and ordered before my baby comes in.
