I just really want to see pictures or spy shots for the new 6th gen 4runner! I'm trying to decide if I should pull the trigger on a 2015 model or wait!!!.....
 
That... is the most baseless speculation I have seen outside of a forum on the new 4Runner and FJC (which isn't even sold in the US anymore...)
 
Bogus. There are tons of sites just like this one that basically, in poor English, scramble a bunch of meaningless bits of information in to "sentences". Diesel was in the headline and not present anywhere else on the page.

i don't see how anyone could read that website and take one thing from it seriously. 2015-2016toyota.com? it's like that diesel tacoma link someone posted the other day.

i mean, read just the opening sentence again..
 
Anyone have actual info or knowledge about the 2016 4runner?
I ask since I am thinking of getting a 2015 model very soon but would kick myself if say the 2016 is a redesign and completely awesome!! lol

Does anyone know when Toyota typically lets the news out on their 2016 models?? Or which car show they will announce the possibility of the 2016 4runner and what changes it will have/redesign??

Buy a 2015 model now or wait for the redesign 2016 model which no one seems to know when it will be released but soon?

I would guess the 6th gen is a few years away, maybe the 2017/2018 model year since they just refreshed the 5th gen.

Does the 4runner usually follow after the Tacoma?
 
I am as well!! Everyday I check since I am in the market and want to buy a 2015 model but I want to know more about the 2016 model!!!
If I did buy a 2015 and they did major changes or a redesign I would be pissed!!!!

The 3rd gen was based on a Tacoma/Hilux frame. When Toyota decided to move the Tacoma away from the Hilux Platform, the 2nd gen Tacoma was released about a year or two after the 4th gen 4Runner was released on the J120 platform.

So if the 3rd gen Tacoma is based on the current J150 platform or on an evolution of it, it may release near or at the same time as the 6th Gen 4Runner. Then again if the 3rd Gen Tacoma has an all new platform the 4Runner will most likely be based on it and it may release at the same time or shortly after the Tacoma.

Most likely the 6th gen 4Runner will be either a 2016 or 2017 model vehicle just in time for the new CAFE standards to take effect on their ramp up.
