We camp on private property just northwest of Salida. THIS IS NOT A CAMPGROUND!!! NO FACILITES!! We will have port-a-potties on site. We can't crap all over this private land, please use them.
Camp is on private property, basically at the intersection of Hwy 285 and Hwy 291, off of County Road 193.

Just keep in mind that this is NOT a hold your hand, wipe your ass kind of event. It's a "come and wheel with your friends" event. Everything from stockers to buggies are welcome. The way this event works is you have to show up and talk to people. You have to find out what people are driving and what trails they are running.

We'll be there Thursday night (and through Sunday like usual)! Unfortunately the wife isn't able to get that Thursday off work to add the extra day onto the event this year. But we are looking forward to it!

I think this must be a new satellite image for Google maps. It must have been taken in the fall after the Jambo. You can see the area where you had to mow.

Sounds like a kick ass time. I'm assuming tents, RV's, PUPs, sleeping in beds of trucks, sleeping under stars are all fair game??? BYOB, food and cooking supplies as well?

Can't wait for round 3! I'm definitely running Chinamans again this year (missed out on it last year) and probably one of the big peaks (Princeton or Antero).

I've been looking forward to this thread and that week(end) since we packed up and rolled out of camp last August. Deployment or Disaster will be the only thing keeping me from being in Salida again this year!!!
