2017 4runner trd pro bogging loss of power

Hello everyone! I have a 17 trd pro with 75k mi that has recently started experiencing some loss of power, hesitation issues. Basically when accelerating, it bogs like it’s being flooded. No check engine light, no stored codes. Changed the spark plugs, air filter, cleaned maf, cleaned throttle body, no change. Anyone else experience this bizarre issue?!?

Clean fuel filter. If the filter gets dirty, the car won't get enough gas and will act like that.

Also, the fuel pump could be failing; not putting out enough pressure.

Where is the fuel filter located?

Agreed, check fuel pressure. Can a scan gauge do this? Also, clogged cat?

Check URDUSA.com they have a kit to install an out of the tank fuel filter that is easily serviceable.

Wouldn’t that cause a lean code?

OP did you ever sort this out. the only time I've encountered something similar is when a rodent had chewed multiple injector wires

Acceleration causing bog

I have a 2001 Toyota 4Runner SR5, having an issue with engine bog when I accelerate fast out of a stop. Sometimes to the point where the engine shuts off. This issue does not occur if I accelerate slowly from the stop. I've changed out the air filter and cleaned the maf however the problem still occurs. I have a check engine light, vcs, and trac off light all displaying. I have ran a scan tool and the p0440 and p0446 codes have come up, could these be the cause or are they a separate problem? and has anyone experienced something similar. Please let me know if you've found a fix.

For more clues try turning off the VSC when driving in "D".
Also try driving is S4 instead of "D".

had a similar problem in a Chevy pickup. It was very hard diagnose. It turned out to be the knock sensor. I found it by putting it on a Dyno and watching the spark timing
