2017 Cement TRD Pro Build Thread

What light color did you decide on (Cool White 8000k or Crystal White 6000k)?

And

What was the part number for the HID kit you ended up going with?

I did the 6K for the interior, 8k for reverse and license plate lights.

For the HID you can look up the Xenon Depot Xtreme 4300k HID kit with Phillips bulbs.

Great thread, basically an efficient shopping list for us with new TRDs. I've done the overlay and am debating the canvasback and LED, so this is very helpful.

I'm down in Long Beach often, if you see a quicksand trd I'll give you a thumbs up from it!

The canvas back is honestly a great product for the cost. I didn't pay over MSRP but still not a cheap rig. Might as well keep it as clean as possible.

Congrats on your Pro and great looking color. Love the Cement. If I waited another year for my Pro I would have went with Cement as well. I recently ordered my LED interior/license plate bulbs through Diode Dynamics. I have seen good reviews about their products and you can buy the bulbs you need.

Yeah, I've seen that company and almost purchased the turn signal conversion but have a few things higher on my priority list for now. LED conversion is a really simple and cost effective mod that has great results.

seeing this pic makes me feel like I bought the wrong truck. LOL. It's awesome!

Thanks, much appreciated. Just make your rig your own. Not everyone has the same tastes or needs. I'm sure you'll get looks for whatever you decide to do. I'm looking forward to lift and tires and finally deciding on which sliders to get.

Now those are nice. I have been waiting to see those in someone's vehicle. I will get them.

I purchased them for my trail a few weeks ago! Totally worth.. very impressed in this OEM product especially for the price as compared to weather techs etc.

Agreed, especially considering you can get them on Amazon for $60 less than if you add them on as an option.

Had an issue with the right HID but got it solved today. Really great upgrade and pretty easy install. Thought I'd post a night shot this time.

Ditto - what was the issue? I have the same kit and my passenger side HID seems to be brighter when I see the reflection off other the rear of cars in front of me

It stopped working once I mounted the ballast. It was just a connectivity issue inside the dust cover. Had to feed more wiring out of the area inside the dust cover and reconnected everything. A little harder to put the cap back on but it worked.

As for your light being brighter. I'd take a look while you're out of the car. Could be one of two things. 1) just the angle of the reflection from where you're sitting or 2) the aim of your passenger light might be slightly off. There's info on aiming online if that is the issue. You can test it against a wall to see if there's a difference.
