2017 TRDP Clunk

Started in November when temps starting going below 30F. It's a model year 2017 TRDP manufactured Dec 2016. It appears to be coming from right rear side. I get it when the Right Rear suspension is unloaded on right hand turns and the right rear tire hits a dip or when the entire back lurches up and then down. I've been under the car 3x's and all clearances look good; no rub marks or anything loose. This is stock suspension with 1" Toytec front spacer removing most of the rake.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Start with the Toytec and go from there? How soon after the leveling job did it start happening?

Not sure what you are aware of but I'll keep it simple as my my guesses. If upgraded suspension look up the half moon mod that had to be done with TRD PRO folks in regards to the Bilstein hitting a bit of metal when under load. Also, check out if your spare tire is secured properly. Thats all I got for now. Good luck

Plenty of clearance 1"

TSB-0054-16

I Had my 15 trail premium looked at for a “Klunk”. Upgraded with aftermarket Bilstein 5100’s the dealer said the TRD shocks had a TSB regarding a klunk related to the shocks made by Bilstein but branded TRD. I didn’t get mine fixed due to them being aftermarket but they did give me the spec sheet on the TSB.

Spent an hour under the 4runner with a rubber mallet. Checked all suspension anchor points, checked rear springs, checked 3" CAT for clearance and came up frustrated and could find anything loose.

Then per advice received here, looked a back lift door. Found the centering pieces and latches dry. Puts some dry lube on them and problem solved, no more noise.
