2019 Sliding cargo deck installation

I bought a 2019 SR5P at the end of July in PA. The deal was finalized with the dealer agreeing to my request for a rear sliding cargo deck.
Now after some back and forth they say it can’t be done. Is this really true?—-my position is that it’s just a bolt on thing —if you have the parts, yes?
Any thoughts?

It's a 'port installed' option only, and not even an 'port installed' option for the SR5 series.
Dealers cannot order the parts.

The parts manager showed me the parts diagram—-everything had a part #—-so if you have one and it breaks you cannot buy a replacement at the dealership?

I believe its a factory installed option. Youd have to change out the back a bit compared to the non cargo deck

Keep your eye out for used ones. They'll bolt right on. They pop up for sale once in a while.

Or go check a local junkyard and see if they happen to have a totaled 4Runner that has the cargo deck.

There are several threads on this topic. You can buy the parts, but it would cost you something well north of $1,000 to buy it part by part, as opposed to $350 as an installed option. I had the same issue as OP and ended up buying a used one from another member on here. You have to drill a couple of holes through the floor pan to expose the welded-on nuts below that it bolts into in the rear, but it really isn’t difficult. I did it in about 1.5 hours total. You don’t need the specific carpet and foam pieces that come with the tray to get its functionality.

Thanks for the replies—-
My situation is the fact that the dealer agreed to add the deck and is now saying the parts are unavailable—-just trying to get the Dealership to do the right thing by me

You will probably have better luck getting the dealer to discount the truck due to the lack of the tray than getting them to install a one...hope I’m wrong though.

That is precisely what happened when I bought mine.
The dealer ended up refunding the cost of the tray once they figured out they couldn’t do it (at least not for the $350 price). I got mine for way less than that on the used market anyway, but you have to find someone selling one close enough you can pick it up - they would be ridiculous to try and ship.
