2019 TRD Pro Roof Rack

I thought the same.. until I pulled up a pic of the FJ one.. it’s a different one. What’s a popular after market roof rack for these trucks?

IMHO I like the looks better than the OEM rack that came on all t4r's '14-'18. Those could easily go on a Buick. Having said that, it is also my opinion there are several aftermarket racks that look better than this one and are more functional. I still think the '10-'13 trail racks look the best for this gen out of the box.
I think I saw the same Pro as you did on TV. It must've been the camera angle but the windshield on that looked a lot flatter, less aerodynamic, than regular.

As much as I like the looks and utility of a rack.
They are noisy. It took a while of moving the bars around on the FJ rack to get the noise down.
And if you were in crosswinds or over 80 mph it was still loud.
I have the stock one on my 4Runner, doubt I'll ever change it.
If you drive slow or don't spend a lot of time on the highway I guess it would be fine though.

love how toyota shows this with rock sliders on their ad. even know they will not come on the 19'. which sliders are those anyway?

They are the nfab RKR rails. Not true sliders, but comparable to what’s on cherokees and the zr2.

Just looks like a good way to keep lifted versions with that rack out of parking garages at the mall.
Maybe that's actually their plan....
Should have done a full length rack as Pro's don't have sun roofs. Now that would be bespoke.

If it's like the FJ rack and has moveable crossbars it'll haul kayaks just fine.
I hauled mine quit a bit on the FJ rack.

Not to hijack your thread but that show also had an underline "TRD Pro new exclusive color Voodoo blue". I haven't been following it too much but I'm aware of the Cavalry blue this year. Would Voodoo blue be for 2019 TRD Pro?

Great question. That sure is a nice addition I'll be looking into.
My guess would be $600. Thinking it might be made by Yakima since they are shown in recent 4Runner brochures.

2019 Roof Rack fasteners same location as other 5th gens?

I now upgraded to the '19 TRD Pro and want to swap out the OEM ark for a Gobi stealth. The stealth fit naturally into pre-existing drilled holes and into the side well of the t4r roof. Does anyone know if the 19s have that same hole/fastener pattern? That way I can go ahead and rock the Gobi. Thanks
