2020 4Runner at Chicago autoshow

Hi All,

If anyone gets a look at the 2020 4Runner can they get a picture of Rus center console/HVAC? I hope they keep the large dials/knobs.

Also will they be keeping the manual transfer case??

Check the cluster gauge and if the regular clock is on the dashboard - or if they changed that altogether.

From the videos and my past experiences they are far away in the back on a display that puts them as if they are off road and you can't see anything as its 100 feet away. The models at the show are pre production even the heritage LC isnt right. Chicago is always a crappy show these days. When I was a kid they had all the brands even a diablo was within grasp just behind the rope.

I’m having issues uploading from my phone. The Pro was sitting on the back of the display and higher up. I couldn’t see anything inside but did see the radar on the grill and did see that it had a side exit exhaust with a black tip and the display card read it had a TRD dual exhaust and Apple CarPlay/Alexa, sunroof and specifically front leather seats and also the various safety equipment. For drivetrain it specified 4.0L and 4x4 but no transmission specifics. What was interesting is the vehicle on display did not have a sunroof as you could see the headliner area when looking into the back. Army green, MGM, SW and MBM were listed as colors.

Front leather would be great! Softex is best for kids in the back though. Or maybe goretex covered plywood...

Interesting about the exhaust set up. Did you manage to snap pics of the display card? I can't seem to find pics of the 2020 4Runner on display anywhere.

My guess is that the 2020 4Runner TRD Pro will still have the moonroof. In last year's Chicago auto show, the 2019 4Runner TRD Pro they displayed didn't have the moonroof either.

Good catch on the leaf spring suspension. From where they placed it it seems they didn't want people looking closely. Maybe a 2019?

It was definitely a 20, it had the new grill with the radar sensor on the front. It didn't look nearly as bad in person as it does in the photos.

Don't let the luddites hear you, they might hunt you down for wanting any convenience in these trucks! Seems like half this forum would rather ride a horse and buggy than have any tech...
