Got it. You and I are in the same time frame. Turn your radius to 'any' distance and look what they're going for across the country. I've found some 20's in the 42-44k range. Probably a realistic assumption before you walk into the doors to haggle.

The 2020 ORPs in Sacramento seem to be optioned at around $46k. They slap running boards onto every new 4R in sight around here.

It is amazing actually - they went through the changes from 2019 and it was pretty significant. Overall it is way faster - I have tested a 2019 - big improvement. The maps are great - it reads texts for you intuitively - the screen is amazing - the info screen on the dash is very nice and useful. I really like the PSI screen. I just upgraded tires and having that ability to monitor real time PSI while on the road while trying to dial in new tires - is a very nice feature.

I have been using Apple Car play - works great, even on my old ass iPhone 6. I go back and forth - both work great. I have not tried Android audio, but Apple Car play loads up lightening fast once it is plugged in. Only the front USB can be used however.

The push button start - I am sorry to the haters of technology - is awesome, sorry-not sorry. Walking up and just getting in - no button - nice.

Same experience from me. These tech upgrades are great, no matter what naysayers want to believe. My vehicle isn't a mall crawler and I can still appreciate the things they've added. The Apple Carplay and Android Auto experience is super responsive and butter smooth. I can actually see the freaking screen now during the day and it's amazing. The new gauge cluster design and screen is awesome (individual TMPS readouts on an off-road vehicle useful on an off-road vehicle? Who'da thunk?) Those two upgrades actually make the interior look a lot more luxurious to boot, almost as if it's really a 2020 40k+ vehicle . My only gripe is that we got gypped on auto dual zone climate control and remote start for non pro or limited trims. Also, the Hitler stache sensor in the front is hideous, I mean the Tundra and Tacoma are super stealth, why did we get the short end of the stick on that design?

So far, loving it. No regrets not getting an older model. Glad I don't have to sit around and hope someone figures out a way to retrofit what is probably a 3k infotainment.

Here is what I am ending up with from my dealer:
ORP with KDSS, Gray Pro rims, Nitto tires, all weather mats, moonroof, predator steps, Pro exhaust

$44.2...MSRP was over $48. Based on the docs I saw, I am about $500 under their invoice, which I am fine with. Getting $15.5 for my trade, so $28.7 OTD.

I feel I’ve been treated well by my dealer. Bought multiple vehicles from them the past few years, so they have taken care of us...even took care of us on new tires for the wife’s van, saving us about $300 overall.

The dealer just got back to me. The dealer in LA couldn’t do the trade since the ORP was all ready reserved for a customer.

Wifey and I were dead set on getting a sliding rear deck on the 2018 ORP. After test driving one with the deck, we decided against it. Haven't missed it, never found any reason to have it.

If you go camping or hunting, you can also build yourself a set of drawers.

My experience with the android auto hasn't been as positive. I found it to be laggy compared to the android auto in my old 2017 Accord hybrid. The system just did an update on my drive home tonight and the menu now looks completely different so i'm hoping that takes care of the issues. The system was not responding to my basic commands and wouldn't give me the option to have new texts read to me.

The rest of the headunit is nice though. One question, is there a way to adjust the main entune screen for night driving? My previous accord hybrid would switch to a darker background at night so the screen isn't blinding you at night. The entune system in my 4runner just keeps the standard bright ass white background night or day with no dimming to compensate or adjustment in brightness. I found that odd. I'll have to look at the owners manual but i'm hoping there is some sort of sensor or setting that adjusts for this instead of turning the entire screen off.

I am in San Diego and I am just waiting for the ability to get the sliding cargo deck with KDSS and the moonroof. Right now the cargo deck is only available without KDSS and the moonroof. :hurt:

Anyone else tried removing the upper grill area for the "Pro" look? having a hell of a time getting it to come off.

Update: Ending up taking the entire bumper off, was much easier after that.

Unfortunately it appears the 2020 upper radiator grille bracket No. 2 (53116-35050) doesn't fit the radiator grille (PZ327-35053), going to try PZ327-35701.

I personally like the dash and large knob setup without the Dual - Auto Climate setup. I would actually prefer that setup over dual climate if it were an option. I never quite understood auto climate on a car - it is a tiny space and I live in San Diego - so it is either AC on or off. Heat on or off. I have had dual climate and auto climate on my Mercedes for 10 years and have never used it once - LOL

Exactly. When I am cold I turn the dial to warmer. On my Audi I don't really check to see if that's 76 or 74. If my wife is cold in the other side, she just closes the vents. And we have third zone in the back that no one has ever even bothered to use.

The screen brightness is determined by the dash brightness, which is adjustable via the wheel to the left of the steering column.

Okay, so I've had a change of plans. I was looking for a Super White ORP but since I had some time to look around, I went to a few dealers and I really like the Magnetic Gray Metallic. For a few reasons actually.

1. The Magnetic Gray Metallic ooks completly different in person and is very classy
2. In my opinion, in order to make the White look really good, I would need the TRD Pro rims, grill, valances, and blackout emblems
3. In my opinion, the stock Magnetic Gray Metallic looks really nice

What colors are you guys considering?

I had a Tundra in gray. It stayed looking clean for a long time after washes. White shows every speck. I ended up with a nautical blue 4Runner because it’s what they had when I was ready to buy. Wish I had gray. But the blue is awesome when it’s clean.

I saw the blue tonight as well, very nice. But the Gray does look like it would hide the dirt a little better.

Interested in this answer. I have a grill purchased for what was supposed to be a 2019 but elected to get a 2020 ORP. It's still sitting at port, but I'll have it soon. Good luck.

Out of curiosity, has anyone attempted to remove the front bumper and how the new safety sense stuff connects? The removal on the pre-20 models is pretty straightforward, but I wonder if any disconnection of the front safety radar panel requires anything special or such when reconnecting...like calibration or anything.

Interested in this as well. I have a SSO slimline sitting in the garage waiting for the rig to show up. I have no idea how this install is going to go. Hopefully a few others will take the leap and post up some results.

PZ327-35701 is the bracket for 2019 and below. Not sure if it will work, but I'll give it a shot, what doesn't work is the 2019 grille with the 2020 bracket. The 2019 grille also appears to have less areas to screw in when used on a 2020, i'm not sure it's an exact fit, it may be best to wait for the 2020 part numbers.

I have an iPhone 11 Pro on iOS 13 and everything on carplay works amazing except making calls. The calls cut in and out and neither person can hear the other, while thats happening the entire radio becomes extremely sluggish and almost unusable until the call has ended. I reached out to Toyota and Apple, no idea if its a software problem or a Toyota hardware problem. I had talked to 4 other people so far with the same issues on the 2020 4Runner with iphones running ios13.

Do you have ios13 on your 6 or ios12? Have you had any of these issues?
