Now that was a big win in the MKIV community for sure! First public auction to get into the 6 figures, I hear, aside from the F&F Supra.
I've seen the new auction car in person, looks like it only sold for $50k. It was traded in at our local Mission Viejo Lexus dealer. One owner car, it has delightfully tasteful period correct wheels, low mileage, clean body. Sucks it's auto...
One thing that really turned me off about it was that every one of those wood trim pieces was SCREWED into the factory interior panels. Those panels (some discontinued) are basically ruined or in need of extensive work to repair.

I'd put money on Craft Customs being able to make them look new.
Those pics look way better than bat has, looks good.
Yes auto was a let down.
Comparing looks 94-2019 my $.02, if Yota would have gone half between the two leaning toward IV would be just right.

Execution and nailing the heritage got them 170 NSXs sold last year. 3+ cars per state. Maybe 1000 total sales in the past 3 years, or 20 cars per state. Unless people flocked to Honda in droves because they saw or heard of an NSX, it's a wasted promotion of their heritage and execution. After all, no automaker (except maybe Ferrari and Lamborghini) is in business simply based on romantic perceptions of their cars. I understand that the NSX is a great sports car, but at $170k+ per copy, Honda really can't be hoping that it spurs sales of their other cars?

I picked up a MX-5 RF a few months ago. When i heard about the Supra I was kicking myself... But, after seeing the design and specs my excitement turned to meh very quickly.
I was a Freshman in high school when The Fast and The Furious was released. Growing up in the Fast and Furious era the Supra was a just out of reach super car. Something you maybe could afford if you saved every cent, worked extra hours. It was a car that would blow the doors off Porsche, Ferrari, and other exotic unicorns. (Even if it really couldn't) There was something RAW and unadulterated about the Supra. The 2JZ-GTE was LEGENDARY. My brother's favorite thing about his IS300 was it had a 2JZ-GE motor. "It's basically the Supra motor" he'd say all the time.
Supra to us meant sleek, simple, epic motor, rear wheel drive, manual gearbox, potential to run it stock or tweak the crap out of it.
This German/Japanese chimera misses the mark in about every category.

A comment left on jalopnik stated 45-60 yr range due to pricing and beemer crossbreeding true or not who knows. Going on looks should of been 30-45 range.

"Low mileage" is subjective. Besides, if you're building the engine, why does it matter? But anyway...
Here's one for $13k with 46k miles. Clean title and manual tran.

Took me 10 seconds to find that on craigslist. And there's about 10X as many on FB Marketplace. You just have to weed out the salvage titles on FB.
And don't give that bs about the FRS not being the same as a BRZ. The only difference is the badge.
And milage does mean something. Wear and tear count for more than just the engine. And I guess I should have predicated that I meant nearly new, but used. I'm still talking a slightly used 2018 or so with all the bells and whistles. Not the base. It was a hypothetical man.
