2020 TRD ORP - Suspension Upgrade Options

I am curious to know your guys' take on 5160 vs 5100. I've read into it and understand that 5160's come with reservoir for additional oil to the shocks but at what point is it beneficial to go to 5160s from 5100. Mine is also a daily driver but do mild off-roading about twice a month.

i went with 5160s and dobinsons 1.5" coils which really gave me 2 or so inches of lift. i dotn have any weight in the back so the rear is pretty stiff, but no issues for the last 25k miles or so

I'm still trying to decide on suspension setup but I did get a quote for OME Nitrocharger Sport suspension and labor. I was quoted the following:

Front struts and coils, rear coils and shocks, new top hats = $956.35
Labor $800.00 (8 hrs.)

I was pretty surprised by the labor charge on it and was wondering if that was typical or if I should continue to look around?

Thanks for the info. I was thinking $800 is high and that doesn't include alignment. He mentioned 8hrs is industry standard but I guess I'll shop around a little more.

Subscribed, as I'm going for the 'OEM-plus look' and would like to mitigate the excessive factory rake.

Does a level/lift impact the Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) or Active Cruise Control (ACC) on the '20 4Runners?

I've heard that lifted Tacoma's are having issues...

I went with the 5100’s set on .85” and the rear remained factory.

I’m very thrilled with the looks and handling of this set-up. Places the frame rails and roof line completely level and eliminates the nose-dive.

No issues w/ the TSS or ACC...and I use them all the time in a variety of conditions.

Provides the perfect OEM+ look I was going for too. Mounted some Falken Wildpeaks to complete the set-up.

2020 ORP, no KDSS here.

Just ordered the relatively new Eibach Pro Coilover system with Load Leveling.

Comes with their new 2.0 coilovers for the front and height adjustable rear using their standard race springs. Went with the medium load rear springs, which are 650 lbs I believe.

Highly recommended by my shop, Eibach says it’s been very popular since introduction. Back ordered a week or so. Will report back once installed.
