2020+ Voltage Booster

The fuse box layout changed for the 2020+ 4Runner.
Does Anybody know of a solution for a voltage booster for the 2020+ 4Runner to charge an AGM battery?

Arclight does not work

I haven’t tried that.
I don’t want to assume that the fuse is called the same (Alt-S) but on another spot.
Was wondering if anybody else has tried it.

Here is my post about this:

I used the same diode as with the old layout but location and orientation is different. There is a link to photos there. I have been running an Odyssey battery with this setup for some months now with no issues. Charging voltage with the diode is the same as with the old AGM/diode setup.

You still have to file the diode to get it to fit.

Edit: well the link isn't working like I want. Maybe this link to the photos will work:

Thanks for the link

I assume your 4runner has not yet exploded from doing this correct?

Tried doing the same to my buddies 2020 4runner but there's a battery check light that comes on

I'm confused...I had AGM's in my 2010( dual agm's, a 31 and 27) and 2016 (grp 31, now 6 yrs old) and never had an issue...what am I missing?

Correct me if I’m off here but it’s my understanding that optimal charge voltage for agm battery is 14.2+ volts (brand dependent), my alternator never got higher than 13.6v. With voltage booster i see around 14-14.2 so my battery should be charging at full capacity.

2020+ the fuse box lay out changed. And the battery check light comes on with this mod

I have the same agm gm fuse mod on my 2014 no issues either

Yes it should be charging at 14.2volts

Bumping this up.

Any updates from any other 2020+ owners doing the GM Diode mode? Interested in how many people are experiencing the check battery light.

Thanks!
