Does anyone have one yet? I am interested particularly in the wheels, same design but new dark gray color. Thanks in advance.

I have one. The wheels are gun metal gray metallic. I like them.
Awesome color. I wasn't aware they were doing a trail special edition. I may be a bit bias but I think the Trail is/was the best bang for the buck...
no hood scoop. I believe thats a 25 HP reduction, lol

The 2016 and previous trail was not the same as this new trail. The previous trail was just renamed to TRD OFF ROAD. The new trail is based on the base SR5 and doesn’t have lockers, multi terrain select/crawl control and cannot be optioned with KDSS.
So the new trail has nothing to do with the old trail you’re familiar with, which has just been renamed to TRDOR.

The new Trail is an SR5 with some cosmetic items. The old 2010-2016 Trail is what the 2017+ Off-Road is.

Just watched a video review. Toyota definitely took some liberties with naming this Trail special edition.

Correct. But its only trim that comes in cement gray and that’s the color I wanted, and I wasn’t interested in a preowned one. Besides Chicago’s malls do not require crawl control [emoji2]

of course. Nothing personal and agree, the cement gray is a great color! Congrats on the purchase...
Toyota never should’ve offered those “special” colors on the new Trail version. Those poor TRD PRO owners who thought they had unique color. Just my opinion.

About as unique as a Scion tC in cement

Not sure if you know but they only made certain colors for certain years of the PROs, so yes the cement is unique to the 2017 TRD PRO. I never said it was unique to the 4runner.

Im aware of certain colors for the pros. But I also feel that pro owners shouldn’t be butt hurt that another trim got that color 4 years later.

The 2010-2013 Trails are still the best looking 5th gens!Real Trail.
Real Trail.
