2025 4 Runner TRD PRO no manual 4WD shifter

This is the 1st I have seen on a 2025 TRD PRO 4 Runner actual video details around the vehicle. Note no manual 4 wheel drive shifter, it's all electronic from what I see. Do you see it that way, watch video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDy2wCHDjsg I also saw in the video the spare tire hanging down under the vehicle, this vehicle was also the hybrid model, this was brought up in another post about the spare. Looks like a $65,000 plus vehicle to me.

It will be interesting how the next gen 4Runner functions in real world conditions off road and see how the after market parts develop.

The mark up will likely take it closer in the lower to mid $70s.

Given the wide spread failures of the 4th gen electronic T case, you would think Toyota would ensure a more robust design. I haven't read of numerous failures in the 5th gens, but I believe it's basically the same case as the 4th gens, so time will tell there. Not a fan of the E-case, but maintained properly they work for decades. My 2012 at 158k is 14 years old this month and is still working properly.
As mentioned earlier, the aftermarket world is going to have lots of opportunity to make money. The 24' Taco bump stop upgrade has already been developed.

The wife and I are older and we normally drive our vehicles for 5 years and will have around 30-35,000 miles on them. Her 2021 Lexus and my 2024 4 Runner were in the $50-$52,000 price range when purchased new, we just write a check for the difference and don't think too much about it. Now these vehicles are easily in the $65-$65,000 price range and the check will have to be much more, thus making me think I might just keep driving these vehicles, as they are pretty much like new when I trade them. My wife always asks me when I purchase something new, "are you happy now" and I always say, "well today I 'am".
