22" TRD wheels on 2011 4Runner?

"Off road" driving on fancy polished Expensive wheels that have most tire options that are really just street tires and probably only 4 ply tires sounds kinda Bass-Ackwards to me. If you want those fancy Car things for your Truck, Keep an extra set of Real "Off-Road" tires and wheels in your garage. What will you do on top of a mountain with one of those 22" Flat tires? Those may not be easy to find if you really tear one up. You wouldn't want to mess up those nice wheels on Rocks and the like.
Your wheels would be covered in mud anyway (if you are actually having fun) so why bother with fancy ones for "Off-Roading"
If you like the look for daily driving, Go for it, but I think having a separate set of good off-road tires and wheels is the way to go. Plus you won't wear down good "Off-road" tires driving on pavement 95% of the time.

Thx for your response I appreciate it. I do have 2 other sets of tires that I use on my 2008 4Runner for overland activites, depending on what we do.
I was thinking more along the lines of if it's a situation where I don't have time to change my tires and I need to get somewhere back-country quickly, will I be ok until I can change?
I am getting a 2011 4Runner this summer and I know the TRD 22 wheels are available for Land Cruisers, Sequoias, and I believe the Tundra. So I was curious if they would even be feasible on a 4Runner since they don't definitively state it anywhere. Thx again.

There's just one problem...The 2nd gen tundra and sequoia run 5 lug rims. 4runner's are 6 lugs.

Anything bigger than 18s offroading will give you nightmare.
Because your side profile will be super thin.
If you plan to do any offroading...16s & 17s are the best, because you have lots of tire options. Stock is 31s, you can even go up to 35s on most stock wheels.
