2200 rpm engine stutter??? WHY???

Ok. So I have two 4runners, both generation 2. Both have the same engine.
I have a 1992 that run great when cold, but as soon as it warms up a little it runs like #?*! . At around 2200rpm it stutters and shakes the whole engine and truck. Does anyone have any idea of why???

My 1994 runs fine and doesn't do this, but I just can't seem to figure out why the '92 does. The '92 has a new timing belt, new fuel pressure regulator, all new spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor, wires.. and much more.

It would be amazing if someone could tell me why it stutters and shakes once its warm.

Sounds like either a vacuum leak at the EGR diaphram (EGR only activates when at operating temp and usually around the RPM range you are describing) or it could be a bad or misadjusted TPS. I am leaning more towards the EGR vacuum leak.

its shuttering at any rpm now, except idle. at idle it runs fine. < does that make a difference?

Could be the EGR is stuck open now.
