22RE Engine Diagnosis

Does anybody know of a good troubleshooting guide?
I'm not sure if these problems are all related but when I got it it would tick at more than 30% throttle.
The oil pressure needle never goes more than a quarter inch past the first line.
Every once in a while it idles at 2k RPM when warm (I'm thinking vacuum issue).
It also sometimes misfires and idles at 400 RPM until I tap the throttle, then it runs fine.

Is it about to die or are these small things that I can fix? It doesn't seem down on power at all.

Have you tried checking for error codes?
It's OBD-I, so you don't need a scanner.
Just jump 2 terminals and count the CEL flashes.

Will it throw codes if the CEL is off when the engine is running?

Also I found the vacuum leak. It's on the hose connecting to the throttle body. All the replacement hoses I've seen online are like $70. I'll probably duct tape it shut until my next smog check.
