22re iacv delete?

I live in a warm climate, no real need for the valve in my opinion. Im thinking of using the IACV as a template to make a blank off plate and then plug the coolant lines it used. I have read too much about these things being faulty or plugged up and at $180, Id just as soon delete it as replace it. I can always put it back on if it doesnt work. The reason for this is high idle and IACV being the last link in the chain. Any thoughts?

IAC cannot be by passed the computer will not stand for it.
if you delete it you will have to put a resistor in the plug solder it in to trick the computer

He has a 93, late model IACV uses a bi-metallic spring that expands when the coolant warms up to close the air valve. The ECU has nothing to say about it.
You can absoloutly delete the IACV in your case, it has been done before by those in warmer climates.

Valve is blocked. Truck starts and does not surge up to 2500it rpm anymore. Stays right around 1100. Im still chasing a vacuum leak someplace.
