22re swap

So I'm looking at swapping a good 22re originally from an 87 truck that is currently in a 85 celica into my 88 4runner that has a blown 22re and I already pulled, the original plan was to rebuild my 22re, but money is a little tight for that right now and I want to drive my 4runner rather then spend 70 bucks a week to drive my ford ranger . My question is what is my best bet to use, the harness with the motor in the celica and that ecu or the harness from my 88 22re, dist, fuel injectors? I know the injectors changed in 88 so I cant use my harness with that motor without swapping everithing I was just wondering if it was possible to use the harness from the new motor and ecu instead of swapping all the stuff? Any advice would be great, sorry for the long explanation!

I think it would be easier to leave the existing harness and ECU in the 4runner and use the injectors from the blown engine. Everything else should be the same between the motors.

You should probably have the injectors cleaned and balanced and also I would disasseble the intake manifold and clean everything well before reassembling.
