235/85 vs 265/75 for daily driver

Better late than never! I am still enjoying these tires quite a bit. The tires definitely do not ride like they are super hard. It feels just right.
Nice! Thanks! I ended up finding some used Grabber AT2 tires that matched the current AT2's on my truck in 265 75. I only needed two tires, so the 235's with have to wait until i upgrade my wheels to some of the 5 spoke 4runner rims to clear my future TBU.

255s kick ass, easily the best all around size for a daily driver/weekend warrior IMO. If you don't want to go that tall, 235s will also apply boot to posterior.

I am getting some 235/85/16 Hankook DynaPro MTs installed tomorrow. I am looking forward to dumping the 265/75/16 KO2s. Will post pics when done.

Looks awesome, just ended up going with 265s. Really wanted the 255s but I just decided to buy from amazon prime for the free ship and 265 had the most choices. Went with kumho road venture at51s based off tire rack ratings. Plus they look pretty mean as a bonus ha

FYI Nexen sells a 10-ply Roadian version of this size with a 40k mileage warranty for $119 atirebuyer.com. Would make a great set of offroad wheels on the steelies that came with my base model '03 Tundra that fit my 4Runner. I just don't have enough tirelust - or money - to justify...sigh.

I always the look of 235/85 so I went with Treadwright's Warden 2 - AT tires
$440 shipped and so far so good!
They do have what's called "flash" where the outer casing peels away, which is just a cosmetic issue from what they tell me.
Here's a few shots. My rig is completely stock and with stock 16x8 rims.

I loved them, but the tread started separating from the casings
Not sure I can recommend Treadwright anymore, maybe if they fulfill the warranty. Damn scary scenario though, being on the freeway and the rear tire starts making banging sounds!
So, did they end up honoring that warranty?
