If you enter BATX upon checkout in Advanced Auto Parts website you will get 25% off any battery. I saved almost $50 dollars on a Optima Yellow Top. Unfortunately they do not carry Odyssey, so you are limited to just Optima.

Hopefully this will help some of you out :)

:thumb3: Thanks for the heads up

I installed the Sears Platinum 31 a month or so ago....I believe that is a rebadged Odyssey

I heard a lot of *****ing about guys claiming the Optimas lost their edge....hope yours does its job and last a long time!

I know, I have heard similar stories. I have a yellow top in now that has been great. I think Optima's biggest issue is quality control, its seems there is just a handful of people that have horrible experiences. Everyone else loves them and claims they are just as good as they have ever been. I almost bought your battery, but once I saw this coupon I could not resist. It was only $150 for a battery, cant go wrong there. Also it carries a 3 year warranty, so if anything goes wrong they will just send me a new one.

I will let ya know if anything goes wrong with it. Are you running a second battery? I cant decide what dual battery system to go with. I am in between the IBS, National Luna, Hell roaring, or just use the Stinger isolater that I have laying around the garage.

I think the QC was what I heard...seems to happen a lot anymore...

I only did the one battery, with a Blue sea 6 circut box(mainly for the fridge)

But I also want to add back up lighting...but I wouldn't rule out another battery...but that's going to lead into a suspension upgrade for the weight in the front (that and the winch :hungry:).

Does it ever end...lol

Here is the upgrade http://www.toyota-4runner.org/5th-gen-t4rs/96878-sears-platinum-31m-battery-upgrade.html
