2500 Mile Supply list

Im going to be taking a 2500 mile round trip from Orlando to Michigan and back within the span of a week. Basically, I'm driving up to the IGV competition for Robotics at UCF, and I was wondering what supplies/parts would be good to bring. It's summer, but I expect to be going through some temperature changes and major altitude changes (0-5500 feet). I'm carrying a $50,000 robot and $10,000 in equipment, so failure is not an option (or I'd be screwed. Lol).

Here's just a little background:
-148,000 miles on 04 V6
-Fluid/filter/part changes are done religiously to the mile
-towing ~400 pounds on single axle trailer
-Front bearings done 90k

This is a basic list I have, but please provide your input/experiences on parts/supplies for long trips. This will be the first one over 1000 miles for me (with an overnight stop).

-Duct tape***
-Radiator hoses
-3 gallons Distilled Water
-3 qts T-IV ATF fluid
-3 qts oil
-Plenty of hand tools
-2x 5 gallon gas jugs
-Fruit snacks, trail mix and water

I'm just considering extra stuff like a water pump, serpentine belt, trailer bearing etc. Tell me what you've experienced.

I believe you will need WS for the tranny, not T-IV.

I checked, it is T-IV on the dipstick (or I've been using the wrong stuff for 3 fluid changes. Haha). I think the later model T4R's use WS along with the FJC.

Trailer bearing for sure. I would also repack them before I left. Also make certain you have lug wrenches that fit your 4runner AND the trailer. They are unlikely to be the same size. I have also encountered a different size lug on the spare carrier of a trailer than on the axle of the same trailer.

Your truck isn't exactly ancient, so what's the worry? Make sure you have everything for changing flats, your oil change will cover the distance, bring some snacks, and roll out.

No, your truck is young in the grand schema of it all. have the stuff you need for tires etc. Some tools for normal stuff. Sounds like you have the basics covered already. I would be more worried about the trailer than the 4runner honestly man.

What Bob said. I'm assuming you'll be on interstate the whole way, so make sure your scheduled maintenance is up to date, get a good roadside assistance plan, and hit the road. Tools are good, make sure your spare is solid and the jack works, but leave the gas cans and other spare parts. If you find trouble, get your free tow from roadside assistance to the nearest NAPA and deal with it there. And as noted, keep T4R bookmarked on your phone - we're everywhere.

Is it your own trailer? Consider renting one from UHaul instead, and switch it out for another once or twice during the trip.

No more miles than that, just make sure you dont run out of gas. If you dont expect a failure before your next service interval, you should be fine.

Consider a larger water reserve. 3 gallons can run out quickly in a hot environment if you get stranded

For sure. You're only thinking of yourself. What if you ran across another motorist who needed water for their radiator? I would take 2 5 gallon jugs along with regular tap water.

Scratch the regular water and take Gatorade instead. Its cheap enough.

An emergency cell phone. GPS. Floor jack, portable tire inflation/repair kit.

Thanks for all the advice everyone. Ill definitely keep T4R in mind. As for the trailer, its practically new, and I personally repacked the bearings with fresh grease.
