255/75/17 offset

Hello,

I'm hoping that anyone who has experience with this tire size can give me some input on the best offset wheel. I would like it to be flush with the fenders. I am most likely going to get duratracs and most likely a 17x8. I believe the factory wheel is a +30 on my 2003 sr5.

My 255/75r17 tires are on 5th gen OEM 17x7 rims, offset +12 and 1.25” wheel spacers. (The photo below is 255/80r17 tires on 17x7.5 rims, offset +15 and 1.25” wheel spacers.)

I think the 255/75r17s stick out more than flush, but they’re not on my 4R right now and I can’t remember exactly how they looked.

The rim width range is 6.5-8.5, but the measured rim width is 7” according to Tire Rack. I think this size tire would look better on a 7” wide rim, and I understand that there aren’t tons of 17x7 aftermarket rims out there.

I'm not seeing a photo for some reason.

Yea, the main reason I said 8" is because I'm not seeing too many options of 7".
I would love a TRD wheel of sorts. I think there might be an FJC wheel at zero offset. Comes at a cost though.

If anyone knows of a 17x7 or 7.5 wheel with a 0 or less offset in the $150-200 range.....
 
Does anyone else have an opinion on how the 255/75 will look on an 8" wide wheel. Aftermarket 7" with 0 offset is tough
 
Sorry I am kind of useless with all the wheel specs but

Luckily I didn't not go into a rabbit hole with wheels so I'm a bit useless on that front, BUT I am running 255/75/17 on FJ wheels. Looks like the offset is not the same as my OEM 08' stock wheels. With FJ shock and spring swap, I am about an inch from rubbing in the front. The tires are essentially Jeep takeoff tires. So unless you have a lift keep that in mind.

I almost went down the wheel rabbit hole and just decided to say F-it and bought TRD Pro Wheels. which I think might be similar to the FJ wheels. So your input is helpful.

I think the 255/75 is gonna be awesome

SO I'm on my second set of Jeep take offs 255/75. I get them with their wheels and TPMS off Craigslist. After selling off the jeep wheel and tpms a set of nearly new tires only cost me $100. My first set of Jeep tires were essentially free. Really depending if you off road or not but I'm 80% pavement (highway mostly) and with the gas prices the way it is, I'm content with these tires.
