That's not a popular size and the only difference between that and a 285/70/17 is a quarter inch in diameter and about an inch in width.

Here's a link to all the pictures of guys who are running them though https://www.google.com/search?q=5th...ved=0ahUKEwjy2dm01bPSAhUBwGMKHSCwDx4Q_AUIBigB

Here you go. 255/80/17 Ridgraplers with spider trax 1.25” spacers.

Hi thanks for sharing the photos with the 255/80-17 tires. Are you running the spider trax 1.25" spacers on all four wheels??

Also are those FJ or Toyota 4Runner steelies??

It's a nice looking rig you have. Also like that bumper, how do you like it??

Thanks in advance!

Best,

In fact the steelies are from when I had my FJ. However my 4Runner spare is the exact spec. I do run spider trax on all four corners, otherwise your truck ‘s stance/track will look very narrow, like it’s on stilts. I think 1.5” spacer would be perfect but spdertrax don’t have that size.

The DO bumper is great, I love the lines and the full 3 hoop, just wish the powder coating was thicker. Im starting to see slight rust in areas with thinned out powder coating.

Wheel on!

Thanks for info!
Recently bought this 2021, with 20k miles that came with the aluminum roof rack, doube swing away steel rear bumper, Front/Rear coil 3 inch bilstien lift, Bilstien shocks, remote reservoir in rear. Baja designs auxillary lights in front and rear bumpers and S-Pod switch pro installed under hood for compressor, etc.

I went the OEM steel wheels (only $75 per wheel ) and the Mickey Thompson baja boss A/T 255/85/R17 34" tire with the 1.25" spidertrax spacers. I dig the skinnier tire look on the T4R. Really think a taller 10.5" tire looks much better than the 285/70/17's wider tires everyone else runs...

What is the part number for those wheels and center caps? Love the look! Thanks!

Hi,
Search Amazon.com "Wheels Express WE40596T"

Or call Wheels Express @ (580) 476-2531. Talk to Gene or Phillip. Very helpful. They have wheel caps as well and can save an additional shipping cost by putting the wheel caps in the box with the wheels. Also, if you want black lugs they're 12x1.5

Shipped free with Amazon prime...good thing with how heavy 5 steel wheels are. I had them shipped directly to my local Les Schwab Tire store.

Good luck!

Looking good High Shelter, I personally like how the stock steelies make our rigs so much more utilitarian the way it was suppose to look lol. It’s so rare to see any other rigs with steelies around. It’s either trd rims or aftermarkets, not saying they are bad but it’s just that there are so many of them out there!

Your taller tire looks great! Too bad I didn’t have that option on the nitto RG otherwise I’d go for it.

Here’s an image of my friends taco with pizza cutters, Cooper discoverer STMAXX 255/85/16 on stock trd pro rims.

Did you have to do any chopping to get these tires to fit up front?

No, no chopping required to fit tires up front. However, vehicle does have the 2.5 or 3 inch suspension lift installed.

Nice!My wheels are 17x8 -10 offset. I'm sure I would have some rubbing. I'm running 285/70/17 right now. Thinking about 295/70, 25580. 34/10.5, or these 255/85. But i also want to add spacers
