What I wouldn't give for a 255/80/17 load range C

The title says it all. What I wouldn't give for a 255/80/17 load range C.
I love everything about the duratrac's except the load range and the price. I could live with the price and even the weight, but ride stiffness would be just to harsh for my 95% road driving.

Is that size offered in P-metric?

Are 255/75R17's too small for you?

255/75R17's are a good option but the 255/80R17's are 1 full inch taller, giving 1/2 an inch of extra ground clearance. It would be the perfect tire for me.

34x10.5r17's in the D range might work but I expect it would require a lot more modification to make fit than the 255/80/17 which measures 33.1x10. The C range would also make it lighter and ride better. For me it would be the goldilocks of tires. I think I will end up going with the 255/75/17 given the available options.

they fit pretty easily tbh. i'm running them on 1.25" adaptors and have less rubbing than I did with 285/70-17's. (stock trail wheels)

I agree, i wish they were C range though.

I run 34x10.5x17 Toyos on stock ORP wheels with nothing more than a mild bumper trim.

what PSI do you run? i've been fighting some feathering/cupping. had it realigned and we dropped the pressures to low 30's. I thought i was under inflating so i had them close to 40. shop said lets try the opposite and get them to wear flat.
