265/50/R20 tires?

I, like most people, don't like the skinny tires on my limited. I have been looking around at options and don't think the 7" wide wheels would look right with 275 wide tires and we all know they don't make a 265/55/R20 tire. They do make several 265/50/R20 tires. Is anyone running these? I know it is a smaller side wall, but I am not going to be offroading. I just want a wider tire to make the stance look right.

What do you guys think?

According to 4Lo.com :: Metric Tire Size to Diameter in Inches Calculator, 265/50R20 Tire would be the same width as a stock 265/70R17 that came installed on my TE. 10.4" Wide, however, the tire your looking at is smaller, comes out to 30.4" rather then 31.6".

The stock tires that come on the limited's I think are 245/60R20 which is 9.6" wide, so yes, the ones your looking at would be a little bit wider, but not much. Were you looking at getting different wheels, perhaps 8 or 9" width wheels?

Edit: I think 275/55R17 would probably look good on the stock wheels IMO. Comes to 10.8" wide and 31.9" Tall. Of course I'm not running 20's so hopefully someone that is will chime in.

thanks for the reply. It looks like the 50 profile is going to make the tire diameter over an inch off. I don't know how much that will throw the speedo off. i don't think it will be really noticable in looks, but it will be different.

the 275s just seem like too much on the 7" wide wheel.
