265/65/17 verses 265/70/17

Tirerack has a bunch of tires on closeout in the "70" size. I need tires.

Are there any rubbing issues whatsoever on the 265/70/17s? The standard size is the "65".

I just want to make sure? Any rubbing on full turns etc.?

BFG A/T's are the only ones reported to rub. I haven't read about any rubbing on any other ones. There's no reason they should. 265/70 is not that much bigger... The only reason teh BFG does it's a very square shape. The tread to sidewall is almost a 90 degree turn.

I'm considering a set of Mickey Thompson Baja Radial MTX Tires size 265/70-17. I do not have a lift or leveling kit and am worried about rubbing. I know that numerous people have said that the BFG A/t's are the only tires that rub in this size, but in looking at the specs of the Mickeys they are a total diameter of 32" vs. the diameter of the BFG's at 31.57". The extra 1/2" is what is worrying me and I have yet to see anyone on this forum with the Mickey MTX's. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

I know that CJ3Flyr stated that the bfg's are the only reported cases of rubbing in the 265/70-17, but my worry is that the mickey mtx tire has a 1/2" larger diameter than the bfg's. So I guess my question is does anyone on the tread have first hand knowledge of this set up working? Again my concern comes from the fact that I considered about 10 other tires and the mickey mtx's are at least 1/2" to 1" bigger in terms of total diameter even though they are all 265/70-17's. Also in a search of mickey MTX's I returned no results on this thread, do these tires suck or what?
