265/70/17 vs. 255/75/17: Need quick input

I'm ordering tires (Hankook Dynapro ATM RF10's) in the next 2-3 days, and I'm back and forth on sizing. I'm going to have ~1.5 lift on the front. I really want the 255/75/17, but don't want to deal with any rubbing that may arise (even the fender liner). I'm also toying with the idea of spacers later on, and the 255/75's would definitely rub worse than 265/70's (right?). I've spoke with a few members and understand the differences, but I just can't seem to make up my mind. I'm going with five tires, gonna do rotation every 5k miles with an oil change. Any final input between the two sizes? The 4runner is mainly driven on road, with a little off road (just during hunting season so I can get to my spots). Thanks!

:rockthrow: I am jelaous..I want mines NOW!!!....LOL

:jk:....

LOL, mine will be installed a week from tomorrow (and lift will be on Saturday). I just gotta decide on tire size, but the Hankooks will be the choice either way. I'll let you know how I like mine :)

when i first got my 4r, i put a 1 in. front lift, with 265/70/17 GYSA on stock wheels with only very, & i mean very, slight rubbing on the inner fender at full turn, so you will be fine with that size on stock wheels now if u add wheel spacers u will have to trim. heres how close i am with 265/70 on aftermarket wheels no W/spacers, & 2 in. front lift. & i already trimmed & moved stuff. so for u this would be similar to having stock wheels with spacers.

OK, thanks for the pic! Spacers are being considered, and that's probably the biggest delimma I'm having at the moment. I'm really thinking I've got other things that are more important, so I doubt I'll do the spacers anytime soon. I'm gonna pull the trigger and order 255/75's (5). Spacers, IF I get them, will be much later on, so I should be fine sitting at ~1.5" lift in front with no rubbing.

EDIT: 255/75's are on order, will have them installed on Monday the 22nd.
