Ok, so how much of a "stuffed" look will I get with the larger 70 series tire? I'm currently sitting stock-no lift though i plan on installing at least a daystar 1" level kit How much am I losing in mpg? Suggestions? I don't want it to look goofy until I lift it. Thanks for input and pics if any.

-Lots of people run that size without a lift
-No mpg loss unless your getting a MT or aggressive A/T tire

No need to worry! I ran 265/70-17s for about 4 months before I lifted mine. No rubbing or anything and it looked pretty normal... actually better than stock. If there's any affect on mileage, it's very minimal. I don't think that I have any full- body pictures with the new tires and stock suspension, but there are a bunch out there.

I installed 265 70 17's on my 2004 SR5 with no problems. The speedometer registers approx 4 mph slower than actual, so watch those speed traps.

I know this has been beat to death, but any recommendations. I want a 70 series. I do most of my driving on highway, but like to get off road when I can. nothing serious, but as time goes by, I get more and more comfortable puxhing the limits. I explore like to explore the wilderness so being restricted by my tires is something i don't want.

No M/Ts, BFG KO AT or duratracs or straight highway tires. Need an AT with good economy, quiet, smooth ride, and can get around when it needs to. I'd like a tread warranty also. I know, I am asking a lot from my tire.

Considering the GYW SA, and my wife wants me to get them, but fuel economy seems to be a bust with these. I'd like to retain as much fuel economy as I can.

Any suggestions? Anyone with GYW SA's that can give me a more recent review?

I've been really happy with my Silent Armors! I went in with Yokohama and Hankook on the short list and to check out the Duratracs, but when I saw the Silent Armors I was intrigued... road-friendly, but aggressive enough to indicate a purpose. They performed quite well this past winter on snow/ice and based on the little amount of dirt they have seen, I'm eager to hit the trails and see what they can do. I don't really remember taking much of a mileage hit when I got them... it couldn't have been more than 1mpg.
