265/75/16 stock

Hi sorry to bother again but the stock size is 265/70/16 and was wandering if I could put 265/75/16 on it with out a lift. My 4runner is a 07 sr5 v6 completely stock. The reason is that at discount tire the 265/70/16 are more expensive than the bigger size. The tire i was looking at is Hankook DynaPro ATM RF10 at 110 a piece. They look like the nitto terra grapplers. Was wandering if they would fit and if anyone has had any luck with them.

Upsizing slightly to that size is not an issue. You'll also get slightly better highway mileage.

Wow, I am glad I found this thread. I almost pulled the trigger at Sears on the exact same tire and they wanted $198 for it. I can't believe the price difference

When I clicked on the link the tires were $110 a piece. Then I added them to the cart and changed my billing zip code and the price went up.

Also, probably a stupid newbie question but there are 2 different prices I am pulling up on my own. What is the difference between Hankook DynaPro ATM RF10 P265/75R-16 114T OWL ($141) and Hankook DynaPro ATM RF10 LT265/75R16E1 123R B($161)

The LT tire is designed to carry more weight. It's for vehicles like F250 pick-up trucks etc. Most don't like LT's on a 4Runner as they are heavier, require 40-45psi to run safely on the highway, ride like crap and decrease gas mileage. Now that I have bashed LT's the reason some people like them is they have more plies and tolerate 'airing down' for off-roading better than P tires. Most LT's have thicker sidewall rubber, some even have 3-ply sidewalls, again, if you off-road in rocky, sharp conditions the extra sidewall beef is appreciated.

Again, there's a 99.5% chance the P tire is a better fit for you.

Thanks for your response. I have another stupid question. Do they make the BF Goodrich A/T in a P? Every website I looked on only had them in the LT.

Sorry guys, I had a car for the last 6 years so never really got into the bigger tire lingo.
