265/R75/R16 On 3rd Gen

Will the 265/R75/R16 fit on an 01 Runner SR-5 or will I have to go with the 265/R70/R16?

Also will if the 75's fit will I have to worry about any rubbing, wheel well looking crammed, any other problems? Thanks

ok so would they fit? yes. Are they correct for ur car? no. they will fit but rub pretty bad bc theyre meant for a small lift. If u do put them on, be prepared to trim at the fenders, pinchwelds, and maybe some other areas...

FWIW, I've been running LT265/75R16 tires on my stock wheel and suspension '97 4Runner since it was just a week old. No rubbing or problems.

My Sister has been running the same size on her stock '01 4Runner for about five years now, no rubbing, no problems.

The '01 and '02 sit an inch lower than the previous years but you still should be able to fit the tires but there may be a slight rub at full turn but I'm sure there's members here running that size on the stock suspension.

That's what I have been trying to figure out. Some shops I have spoken with even say the 75 should fit fine but I am wondering if they are thinking of the previous years. I can tell that there is a difference with the 01 than the previous years just by looking at them. Would there be that much difference in ride height with the 75's over 70's?

My friend had a '97 limited and let me put his 275/75/16s on my 4runner back in high school to see if it would fit without rubbing on my '02 sport but ya it rubbed a little at full crank. ONly the front was an issue not the rear but my problem couldve been bc i had a brush guard on the front (adds about 35-50lbs) and 3 10'' subs in the rear at that time...

Also, I had Discount Tire offer to test fit a pair of Yokohama Geolander AT/S 75's. Is this common? Never had a tire place be so nice to test fit.

I have them on my 2000 Sport with stock suspension. 0 Rubbing issues, even at full flex.
