275/ 70/ 18 wheels for sale or trade

Hello again fellas. i just purchased a 2008 limited 4runner that came with practically brand new goodyear wrangler 275/70/18 tires. they are in great condition and are suprisingly quite at 70 on the highway. i'm wanting to see if anyone would be up for trading these for the enkei wt4 or XSP package 20" wheels. i've just always loved those wheels and don't really need an aggressive tire like this. although it does look awesome! let me know what's out there and i'm in N.C. if that helps. thanks!

Does your 4Runner have a spacer lift in it to fit those tires? must have the front mud flaps off at least. looks good.

If you were local I'd consider buying those from you.

Shouldn't be hard to get rid of those wheels, they are highly sought after or at least they were at one point.

it does look like that but it's not that close. there's about an 1 inch of clearance. if i take a hard sharp turn, into a downhill driveway, the front tire might rub the inner fender for a second. probably could use more of a lift but nothing too major.

In traffic today, I was behind a 4Runner with the XSP 20" wheels. Those wheels certainly are sweet looking on the 4R.

You can see it looks like its been trimmed on the lower front , mine is trimmed just like that !

That truck has to have at least a 3/2 lift to run 275/70/18. I'm running 2.5/1.5 and 275/65/18 and get rubbing when turning at full lock, which is after trimming.

I wonder if lifting the front up another inch would help with the rubbing or if the tires are just almost to big around for the wheel well? and if I could find those xsp 20" inch wheels, would it still need the lift? so many questions!!!!

I had to remove my front mud flaps as well to fit my tires, which are only 265/70/17 because it rubbed like crazy with these Duratracs. I hate not having front mud flaps. I get so much crap under the door now.

If you run the same size tires that the XSP wheels come with, you would not need the lift.

Have you tried trimming the inside half of the flaps? I did this before i changed my suspension and it worked fine. The tires didn't rub any more and the part that was left on the outside kept most of the crap off the sides of the truck

No I did not. I thought about doing that but decided it was much easier to remove them altogether. I didn't realize how dirty it would get under the door as a result of doing this. If I ever decide to do something about it I'll just order a pair of aftermarket mudflaps, the flat, rally-style kind. But I clean inside the doors anyway when I wash my truck so I can deal with it.

you said you have a lift on your 4runner? do you have pics and what year is your ride? where did you buy the lift from? and what gas mileage are you getting with the larger tires? I doubt I'm getting the 18-21 as suggested which does suck but hey I know what I'm getting myself into. I just sold my 99 4runner to upgrade to this 2008 black limited with tan leather. I feel like I'm living in luxury now!!! where do you recommend getting a lift for the front of mine? would an inch higher clear the rubbing issue on hard turns? Thanks for your help with this.

If you want to replace the mud flaps (which you probably won't be able to do unless you get smaller tires) it shouldn't be too hard to find a set here on the forum since a new 4th gen puts bigger tires on and removes his here at least weekly.

I know I have my old set sitting in my storage room, just saw them the other day.

If you take a picture of your front shock, above the tire, we could probably tell you if it's lifted, how much, and what kind of lift..

honestly i'm still looking for the XSP/ enkei WT4 wheels. these are a little bigger than i wanted although they look awesome and very aggressive yet are really quiet on the highway. if anyone knows anyone looking to trade, let me know. i'd rather not do trimming of fenders etc if i can help it. anyone out there able to help me?? or work at a dealership that can get these for me??
