275/70-R17 Tires

I've put Goodyear MT/Rs this afternoon on my truck. Finally. They've been in my garage for a month; I was waiting good weather to put them on.
After I put them and made a test drive around the block (~5miles), I did mentioned rubbing. I knew it's going to rub a little, but after what I saw, I start worrying.
They rub not only mud flaps, but ALL triangles on the front bumper. I was expected a little rubbing on triangles. So I checked how much should I trimmed. I'm not sure if after removing triangles I would get rid of rubbing. Maybe in city driving yes, but what about off-roading when I'm using all wheel travel up and down. I'm afraid that 275/70-17 might rub the plastic fender when the shock will be fully compressed.
May be I'm wrong, that's why I'm asking for an opinion from members of this forum. I talked to the guy I got my tires from and he said he will check with GoodYear, if I can exchange 275/70-17 for 265/70-17.

I've 3" Cornfed Lift and this rubbing was after couple of miles of city driving.

You do not need to cut your trim. My tires also rubbed after i installed my 1.5" wheel spacers on stock rims with 265's. I cut some but the majority of the plastic, I just got a good lighter, heated up the trim and remolded the touching plastic inwards. Just keep pressure on the heated plastic until it cools and holds the shape you want.

Interesting.... Can I use heatgun? I think so.
What about mudflaps? Do you off-road?

If you off-road often replace stock mudguards with Jaos. Stock is just good enough for light use. Get something like this:

I still have stock mud guards on. My tires stick out about 1 inch from wheel wells, so my runner does get somewhat dirty but no big deal. I cut and heated my mud flaps to fit.

Go to a wheel alignment place. They can adjust your settings to reduce the rub.

My 275's don't rub except in extreme offroad and its only plastic - no issue.

As I recall, it's called setback. It basically can move the wheel forward or backwards 1/4" - I think.

I had my 4 wheel alignment done several months after putting the 275's on and they moved the front wheels wheel back ever so slightly. I get absolutely no rubbing on the mud flaps at the front. Only a very small amount on the rear when offroading and the wheel is totally stuffed into the wheel well and the opposite wheel is off the ground.

As to the front, I only get rubbing (marginal) on the triangles when reversing. None in offroading.

Just a suggestion. I am pretty sure its not camber, castor or toe that works although I could be wrong - I'm not read on wheel alignment techniques.

Anyhow, check with a wheel alignment specialist and they should be able to tell you.

Edit: I guess another thing we could do is check your alignment settings against mine seeing as yours seem to rub so much. I think I can find my aligners paperwork (specs) if you have yours.

Edit 2: Doh - I just realised you might not be using the stock wheels. Mine are the stock rims.

I've mount them on AR Bajas 17x8. Anyway, I'd appreciate if you can give me the details of your setup, so I can check mine at alignment shop and compare.
