285/45/22 fitment

does anybody use a 285/45/22 tire size on their 22's? I can get a set at a great price and want to put them on. right now im on 20's with a 285/50/20. any suggestion? i think it will rub the inside plastic shield at a full turn but i dont care about that, just hoping its not anything else. yes i know how much my speedo will be off also... thanks guys!

Yes I am running them but I have a 3/2 lift as well as a wider offset rim. Not sure on your offset but if your rims are in line with your fenders then you should be fine that way. I would have a test fit done to see about the height issue if you do not have a lift. With the lift I had to trim some plastic out of the fender and trim the mud flaps but that is all.

The 285/45R22 should be around the same dimensions as these sizes:
285/55R20
285/65R18
285/70R17
285/75R16

Here is a good tire size calculator, looks like the 285/45R22 is about 1" larger in diameter than your 285/50R20.

i should have my tires and wheels soon, so im going to do a test fit and hopefully it should work out okay. im sure a lot of it is how you drive it, if you dont need to cock the wheel all the way it looks like it should clear fine...
