285/70/17

anyone running 285/70/ 17 with jba uca and fj cruiser wwwhhels they are -10 offset 4.8 back space. im not wanting new rims as they are just going to get banged up.

We run 285s with zero offset and it’s fine. We do have to do the body mount chop but that’s normal.

I’m running FJ/Trail wheels with 285s and didn’t need to chop the cab mount. Each truck is different so hopefully yours clears everything fine. All I had to do was push the front fender liners forward a few inches and trim a small piece of the front bumper- you would never know unless you knew what to look for. 285s are worth whatever trimming you need to do, very smooth ride and great traction.

But they tuck in the rear fenders well? That's my concern with -12 offset

Be aware that you won’t fit the 285 in the spare tire location as I see you have the V8. As it is full time 4WD you won’t want to run a different size tire if you ever get a flat ... for long.

I plan on 5 rims and matching tires. It will live on the rack till I can get a swing away hitch mount..
