285/70-17's

Will 285/70-17's fit on a stock unlifted 2006 4Runner?

I had these on an Xterra, they did rub just a little bit, but not enough to go crazy about. The rubbing didnt bother me, I noticed the plastic in the Xterra's fender wells had rub marks, but no other damage. There seems to be a lot more room in the wheel wells of the 4Runner. Will this tire fit with just a bit of trimming of the plastic trim? Any help out there?

No. I think the biggest stock tire you can get away with is a 265/70-R17. Do a search for "stock 4Runner" and you will find lots of information...

That tire is actually a 1/2" smaller than a 265/70-17

What kind of tire is it?

No it won't fit on an unlifted 4th gen 4runner.

You need a Sawzall and cut those fenders bigger.
