285s & a V6 ?

I was wondering if anyone had put 285s
on there 4.0 V6 4Runner and what / How much did it affect the performance ?
Acelleration?
I put 285s on my 2002 Tacoma and it was
slower in first although not so bad once rolling,,, the old 3.4 was a dog to begin with.

I'm planning to lift ( 3-2 ) and reshoe with the tax return in the spring.

I just cornfed mine and put nitto 285s on it. It is a little sluggish when accelerating but performs fine when youre rolling. It doesn't bother me because it looks mean now.

FYI - My MPG dropped from 17-19 to 14-16.

Your set up is just what I'm gonna do except with BFG ATs.

Your milage drop is a bit discouraging. I imagin your trying to compensate for the reduction in accelleration with more gas pedal.

I may go with the 275s instead as I'm going to be on the street at least 98% of the time.
