285's, how bad will it rub?

Hey guys, I finally pulled the trigger on an OME lift. Front 882 w/N91SC, Rear 890 w/the new 90004 shocks (will double check the P/N ). This is on my 99' 4Runner SR5. With the lift said and done, I would like to put some 285 70R17 M/T's on my Sequoia or FJ wheels (I haven't decided). Will I need a BL to clear these tires, or am I fine and may get a little rubbing?

Hmm body lift will be nice. The problem lies with your UCA's make sure the tire clears them. Other than that you will see what you need to trim and adjust.

i had that combo but now lc coils in the rear only rubbed when stuffed as for the wheels prob gonna need spacers im running stock 16'' 5stars with 1/4'' spacer up front and they dont really hit the uca

I think the new sport shocks are the 60027(firm) and 60028(comfort) for the rear and the 90004's are for the fronts.

I would go with LC OME861 OME COIL SPRING FRONT LOW HEIGHT, HEAVY LOAD 10MM/3/8-INCH 80 SERIES for the rear to level with OME882 for the front. I'll be changing mine to LC OME861 to get the same height like this rig. OME COIL SPRINGS

It's funny you said that, my front end is sitting a little higher than the rears. So, the general conclusion is Yes and it may rub a little.

My experience on offroad with three inchs OME coil spring at the rear and 285/75/16 and rub like crazy so I installed 2"BL and in the future I'll be running 315/75/16 and change my coil spring to LC OME861 to level my 882 at front. If you are staying on 285/75/16 you can get away with 1 inch its better 1.5 body lift from 4Crawler Offroad.

You can fit the 285's with just the OME suspension, as long as you don't wheel too hard. I have 9-wrap (5.5") LC coils in the back and a 2" BL and I can still rub the sh!t out of my fenders when I really flex.

I think the thing that makes the big difference if you rub 285s on a 3" lift is whether you're on stock rims or not (or backspacing). I'm on stock split-3 spokes and I can't make it rub in the back, it will hit the bump stops first every time. I can only make the fronts rub my inner fenders at full lock with weight coming down on it (like when it falls off a big rock or something). I'm also running 1" wheel spacers in the front only (that could be the difference too). I am getting a body lift though, but that's another thread... I want to run some old 305s I have in my basement. So what wheels are you guys running?
