295/70/17's ????

I purchased some 295/70/17's and went to have them installed today and they were rubbing against the upper arm so i couldnt have them put on, i was thinking that some spidertraxx wheel spacers would make it so that they clear, i dont think i will have any problems in the rear, does anyone have any input or what has anyone else done that might of had this problem, thanks

That brings you to just over 33.3".
The cheapo solution would be a 1" body lift, but I would considering a suspension lift when you have the money :frog:.
Frig the wheel spacers, won't do you much good.

Its rubbing on the UCA though, I dont really see what the body lift for even adjusting my King Coilover up another 1" would do to fix the rub on the UCA, the UCA will stay in the same place but just be on a different angle by adjusting the coilovers, it seems like the wheel spacers would push the wheel away from the UCA fixing the problem...maybe not...

How bad is it rubbing? I wouldnt go with more than 1/4" of a spacer. If that will do it, then I would say go for it.

the spidertrax wheel spacer is a 1.25" spacer, and the guy at the shop said it needed at lease a .5" spacer to clear it, so i think with 1.25" spacer i would be totally fine clearing the UCA even with turns, now the fenders thats a different questions, i will prbably adjust my coils up another 1" if it rubs on fenders, if it still rubs ill start trimming

There are many of us who run the 1.25" spidertrax spacers. Most of us drive hours to wheel, continue to wheel the piss out of the trucks, and are confident they'll be able to make the few hour drive home again.

I'd have zipped my trap after saying a body lift will fix UCA rubbing, but some people don't know when to stop. If you don't know, don't post pretending like you do. Misinformation annoys the sh!t out of me.

I have 295/70/17s. Install some 1.25" wheel spacers ( I have trail gear spacers from savage off road). This will eliminate the rubbing on the uca.

I run the spidertraxx on my lifted Tacoma, have 42k on them with no problems, checked the torque on them several times and they are solid. Plan on putting some on my T4R soon too! The wheel spacers will fix you up just fine!

If your running OE wheels I had this problem and so I ran the 1.25" spidertrax spacers. Also, if they were rubbing with the suspension unloaded( like jacked up and just hanging there) mine rubbed on the UCA. but after you lower down the t4r it didn't rub. Might be worth another look before you do the spacers.

Body Lift? Some people's kids! Anyway, I hav the 1.25" Spidertrax spacers and have no rubbing at all now with 285/75-16. Just don't get the ebay knockoff non-hubcentric spacers.

All pro off road also makes 1.25" hub centric spacers and they are cheaper than spidertrax. I just ordered some for my 4runner today. Good luck man

awesome!! thanks for all the help, i did order the spidertrax since they are name brand and would rather pay a little more for something hopefully more reliable... and more popular so hopefully better, I think that this will solve my problem but just wanted to make sure, thanks for all the help and advise, i will post some pics once i get them put on thursday morning and have the tires installed!!! thanks again

Sorry guys. I'm trying to help. Still learning, but trying to give my opinion. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong. No need to get upset.
Anyway, if you guys think spacers are OK for the lug studs, then I guess they are.
Do they ,ale the wheels look noticeably "wider" ?
