2gen runner -cammry computer swap

So I was just told of a computer swap, It is to swap a 90-95 cammry 3.0l computer for a 3.0l 4runners computer, direct bolt up, and it greatly increases the power out put. As the guy said he did it and his 94 runner ran like a raped ape. Any one else try this? Any info would be great.

I'm not sure how it works. Differant settings. Not sure if it only works with autos or manuals only. trying to figure it out.

sorry to bring this back up to the front, but i checked up on this a bit. the 4runner ecu is a 3 plug 26pin/16pin/22pin ecu, and the 2vz shown here has teh same exxact pin setup and size. And if i find the ecu in the yard ill give it a try. but on my ecu it says 4x4. are any of the 4wd functions determined by the ecu? i wouldnt think so but that would suck if i went to put my truck in 4wd and nothing happened.

id also like a bit more info as to "this guy" do you have an email so that i can ask him a few questions. thanks
