2nd Gen 3.0 Fuel Injection Loom

Doing the head gaskets on my '95.
The fuel injection wiring was encased in a plastic'ish box on either side of the intake manifold. I assume this was for heat protection.
Well, those boxes disintegrated as soon as I touched them.

I'm planning to wrap the loom with exhaust pipe wrap to protect them from heat.
Thoughts? Idea? Other solutions?

that should work but if you can you might want to see if you can find some in a wrecking yard . while your in there ck your knock sensor wiring too .

Exhaust wrap should do fine.

I did the exhaust wrap. Easy, and I'm glad the guy at PepBoys conviced me to get the stainless clips to hold it in place.
