I gottired of the stock taillights, so I decided to paint them all red. Since the only other option was black covers, and CA is strict on illegal stuff... Anyways, the paint I used was Testors Transparent Candy Apple Red (#1605). Turned out great IMO. It's been a couple weeks and they have held up fine, even with the rain. Pics:

Damn man....that looks sweet. Maybe I will go over the "clear" (aka-pink part) of my the tailight on my 4th gen. Good job!

A few questions:
1) Did the paint come in a spray container?
2) What did you do to prep the surface?
3) Did you put clearcoat over it?

1. Yeah, it came in a spray container. A short one.
2. For prep, I cleaned them really well and used Meguiar's Plastix. I just really made sure I wiped them off before paint.
3. I didn't put a clearcoat on it. I heard it orange peels with a clearcoat. We'll see how this holds up.
