2nd gen door panel removal?

I am changing this thread to help others that search for this. Today I removed the door panel on my 94 4runner to fix the window that was off the tracks. This is what I did to remove the panel.

1. remove the screws from the door handle and the arm rest (the arm rest screws are behind the two cover clips).

2. gently pull straight back on all the clips on the outer perimeter of the door panel.

3. Push the door handle (and door handle cover) toward the front of the vehicle until you can pull it off the door and toward you a little bit.

4. Lift up until the panel goes over the door lock on top of the inside door.

5. turn the panel until you can get it around the handle. (I have herd you are suppose to take the door handle off, but I did not do this.)

The panel should now be loose, but still wired to the window and lock buttons on the arm rest. I did not disconnect because I did not see the plug. I just turned the panel and rested it against the door without putting stress on the wires. Now you should be able to complete the job you are trying to do. Take off the door handle, regulator arm, or power panel if you're one of those, use a trim tool or just a big flathead with duct tape on the tip to pop the panel away from the door.

So I took out all the screw to the door handle and the arm rest. I also popped out all the clips that I can see on the door panel. For some reason even with the screw out, the door handle will not come off. So even though the rest of the panel is free, I cant get it off.
