Hello I'm Scooter.
I just got my first 4Runner. It's a 1991 SR5 22RE 5 speed, power steering with manual windows and locks and auto front hubs. It's a Japanese build, but for the Canadian market with DRLs and a rear heater. The body's not bad, the interior is OK. The biggest issue is the low compression on #4, only 85psi with a squirt of oil. The other things are minor by comparison:
it's filthy inside, never seen so many candy wrappers and receipts everywhere; needs an idler arm; the steering box leaks a little at the steering shaft; the front rotors are bad and the rear window, it only opens from the inside. My last couple of projects have been bikes, I'm excited about working on 4 wheels.
