They take on America's most notorious 4x4 route in a race against time to photo map the entire trail before they must present their images at Google headquarters.

Me too, but just not in a mall crawler painted yellow!

Watched it last night and found their antics funny, but if they did that shit on the trail with a 4x4 club, they woulda gotten left at the trailhead, most likely with a few missin' teeth!!!

So, what I got from the show is that a full sized bronco without lockers can do the rubicon without much issue! Also, a geo tracker is fantastic, so long as you have a bronco pushin' you up those hills, since it too didn't have any lockers!

I really wonder how much work and equipment it really took them to do the trail. You KNOW they had a full crew on the trail with them making sure they didn't do anything too stupid, as well as a few other vehicles that were capable and maybe even a local club to give them guidance.

Oh well, some day I'll get to do the Rube...

Thanks for sharing Riff Raff! It's always entertaining to watch these clowns violate all the rules of off-road etiquette. But at least they go off-road. There's a thread about this in the General section too. Three posts in and some lil ***** is crying about it being 'only the American version'... STFU! Just watch it ya fkn baby! :rockthrow:

I posted something similar in that other thread, and I'll say the same here. That episode was unbearable. They act like morons, the 4Runner had god awful wheels on it and the make the Rubicon look way easier than it really is. Like someone else said, a fullsize Bronco with open difs is gonna have a hard time on the Rubicon. And no f'ing way zip ties and duct tape held his leaf pack together. Since this represents by far the most mainstream publicity 4 wheeling gets, no wonder every environmental wacko thinks we're all a bunch of rednecks throttling through trails. Not one mention of treading lightly or the work local clubs do to keep the trail clean and open.

Somebody in the other thread linked an early Clarkson vid where he joins the Jamboree in a Wrangler. It starts out with a Clarkson voiceover about how beautiful and tranquil and serene the Nevadas are "until these manly Jeepers tear it up with their 4x4s!' (paraphrased, obviously). I rolled my eyes so hard I saw my ******* from the inside.
