2nd Gen Stereo replacement

I have replaced the factory am/fm cas with a Poineer cd player. Purchased the wiring harness that connects to the original wires in the truck and connected them, connected the large antenna cable however there is one more small cable that looks like the antenna cable that has no place to connect to the new player. Is this for the power antenna that now does not go up or down.
If this is so how do I correct this problem?

i think i had the same issue...I didn't plug it in anywhere, and it works fine...the antenna "up/down" would not be the metal plug thing, it would be a blue wire in the wiring harness...

Thank you for the information. When I was installing the unit I did notice the blue wire however I was not sure where it was to be connected to. I read the instructions and it said to connect it to the antenna relay. I not sure where that is located.

so you already turned it on and the antenna didnt go up? The blue wire from the truck side of the wiring harness is the antenna up/down. If your radio harness does not have this, hook it up to the amp turn-on wire (also usually blue). If it doesnt have that either, the accessory wire should do the trick, but the antenna will go up whenever you turn the key.

as a side note, the antenna remote wire also turns on the factory amps for the rear speakers, so dont just cut it off and forget it.

Thanks to all your help I was able to get all the speakers to work and the antenna to operate correctly.

Does your antenna go down if you are playing a CD or does it stay up all the time when the head unit has power?

The antenna does go down when listening to the CD player.

After connecting the Blue wire which I overlooked all the speakers work and the antenna is also working correctly now.
